Appearance: Colorless long needle shaped crystals with a conjugated ring of urea and thiophene, and with a side chain of valeric acid; Extremely slightly soluble in water (22mg/100ml water, 25 ℃) and ethanol (80mg/100ml, 25 ℃), relatively soluble in hot water and dilute alkali solution, insoluble in other common organic solvents. It decomposes when exposed to strong alkali or oxidant.
